Sandra Dembeck

Dr. Sandra Dembeck is a distinguished finance executive with over 20 years of experience leading financial operations across major international retail and fashion companies. She served as Chief Financial Officer at Zalando SE, Europe's leading online multi-brand fashion destination, from March 2022 until early 2025, where she led the Finance and Group Governance teams during a critical period of strategic growth. Under her leadership, Zalando continued its trajectory toward achieving more than 30 billion EUR in Gross Merchandise Volume by 2025. Dr. Dembeck's extensive career spans multiple senior finance roles, including Group Corporate Finance Director at Compass Group Plc during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic period, Deputy Chief Financial Officer at British retail giant Kingfisher plc, Group CFO at Dutch fashion brand Mexx, and various leadership positions at C&A including Finance Director and Legal Director for C&A Europe. Her career began as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where she strengthened retail practice in Europe and Asia, including launching C&A's expansion into the Chinese market.
