Dr. Michael Müller serves as Chief Financial Officer of RWE AG, one of Europe's leading energy companies, where he has been instrumental in orchestrating the company's historic transformation from a traditional coal and nuclear utility into a global renewable energy powerhouse. Since joining RWE's Executive Board in November 2020, Dr. Müller has spearheaded the financial strategy behind RWE's ambitious 'Growing Green' initiative, which aims to expand the company's renewable energy capacity to over 50 GW worldwide by 2030. With nearly two decades of experience at RWE, he brings deep operational knowledge combined with strategic financial expertise to guide the company through one of the energy sector's most significant transitions. His leadership encompasses responsibility for Accounting, Finance & Credit Risk, Controlling & Risk Management, Investor Relations, and Tax functions. Dr. Müller's strategic vision has enabled RWE to secure billions of euros in financing for renewable energy projects, including offshore and onshore wind farms, solar installations, and battery storage systems. Under his financial stewardship, RWE has successfully navigated complex regulatory environments while maintaining strong capital allocation discipline and investor confidence.
