Biography
Dr. Kristin Neumann is a distinguished German financial executive who served as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Board at Brenntag SE, the global market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution, from April 2022 to March 2025. Born in 1972, Dr. Neumann brought extensive international finance and leadership experience to her role at Brenntag, where she was responsible for Accounting, Controlling, Insurance, Investor Relations, Legal, Shared Services, Tax, and Treasury functions. Her tenure was marked by her ability to lead Brenntag through decisive phases of comprehensive transformation and challenging market conditions. With her international expertise and proven financial acumen, she provided crucial strategic impetus in developing Group management structures, financial organization, processes, and reporting systems. Prior to Brenntag, Dr. Neumann served as CFO and Director of Human Resources at LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG from 2014 to 2022, where she demonstrated exceptional crisis leadership during the pandemic, keeping the aviation services company operational and developing alternative business models across Europe. Her earlier career included senior finance roles at Thomas Cook Group from 2000 to 2014, culminating in her appointment as CFO and member of the Board of Management for Continental Europe.
