Dominique Leroy serves as Board Member for Europe at Deutsche Telekom AG, one of Europe's leading telecommunications companies, where she has been driving digital transformation and strategic growth across European markets since November 2020. Born November 8, 1964, in Ixelles, Belgium, Leroy has established herself as a transformational leader in the telecommunications industry with over 30 years of experience spanning consumer goods and telecommunications sectors. With strong academic credentials, Leroy earned her Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the prestigious Solvay Business School in Brussels in 1987. Her distinguished career began at Unilever where she spent 24 years, progressing through marketing, finance, logistics, sales, and general management roles. She ascended to Managing Director for Belgium and Luxembourg from 2007-2011, demonstrating exceptional leadership in one of the world's largest consumer goods companies. Joining Proximus (formerly Belgacom) in 2011, Leroy rapidly advanced to CEO in 2014, becoming the first female CEO in Belgium's BEL 20 stock market index. During her transformative tenure from 2014-2019, she orchestrated a remarkable turnaround through her "Fit for Growth" strategy, delivering consistent financial performance while positioning Proximus as a digital services provider.
