Dr. Bernd Montag has served as Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Healthineers since February 2015, leading one of the world's most prominent medical technology companies with over 73,000 employees worldwide. Born in Munich, Germany in 1969, Montag earned his Ph.D. in theoretical multi-particle physics from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, where his academic excellence was complemented by his athletic achievements as a junior national basketball player and professional player for TTL Bamberg in Germany's premier basketball league.
