Mexx

Mexx is a Dutch fashion brand established in 1986 by entrepreneur Rattan Chadha through the merger of his two brands: Moustache (menswear) and Emmanuelle (womenswear). Based in Drunen, Netherlands, Mexx operates in the mid-priced contemporary fashion market, offering European City Lifestyle-inspired clothing, shoes, accessories, bags, fragrance, and underwear for men, women, and children. The company reached its peak with €1 billion in annual revenue before experiencing significant financial difficulties that led to bankruptcy in 2014. Following a series of ownership changes, Mexx was acquired by Turkish retail group Eroğlu Holding in 2015, then returned to Dutch ownership under RNF Holding in 2017, and most recently was sold to HVEG Fashion Group in October 2024. Currently employing approximately 1,500 people globally, Mexx has successfully reestablished its market presence through a comprehensive relaunch in 2018 with new collections and enhanced digital capabilities. The brand operates through multiple channels including online e-commerce platforms, retail stores, and wholesale partnerships across Europe, Central Asia, and South America. Mexx has embraced digital transformation by implementing advanced PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions to improve operational efficiency and supplier communication, while maintaining offices in China and Turkey to support its global supply chain. The company's resilient business model and strategic repositioning have enabled it to rebuild its brand equity and market share in the competitive fashion retail landscape.
